Rowdy nocturnal students keep you awake and there's no TV

Liked: The location was quite good. It was well connected for bus routes. It was close to Kings Cross station for my train. There were local supermarkets and pubs.

Disliked: I didn't like the fact that I'd been misled by the photos showing what appeared to be a TV in the rooms but these were in fact pin boards deliberately left in situ for the photo shoot to deceive potential bookers into believing that the rooms were equipped with a TV. These pinboards looked identical to flat screen TV's and anybody seeing them in the photos would be duped into believing that they were in fact TV's. The pinboard (dummy TV) was removed from the room before I checked in. This was a very sly tactic employed by dishonest management who knew exactly what they were doing by leaving these "dummy TV's" in situ for their photo shoot. I even offered to pay extra if a TV could be put in the room, as there was a TV aerial socket, but was told there weren't even any TV's available to rent. I also didn't like the fact that there were still some students in residence who had disturbing nocturnal habits such as gathering in groups on the front stairs, drinking and being very rowdy which prevented me from sleeping between midnight and dawn. I had to ring the front desk at four in the morning and security went out and told the nocturnal students to be quiet but the quietness only lasted for four minutes before resuming again. I was not told to expect this. I was unable to pursue my plans for days out with my son during our birthdays week for the five days that I stayed there as I had to catch up on sleep during the day. I couldn't close the window to block out the rowdy noise as the room was uncomfortably hot and without aircon so I had no choice but to put up with it. I would not recommend this accommodation unless you are nocturnal and don't care about the lack of TV.

Very good and a great location

Liked: It's student accommodation which is being rented out to the public during vacation. Being student accommodation its a bit spartan and institutional, but its very clean, everything works well, safe and well managed. A big bonus is that it is a 10 min walk to Kings Cross St Pancras station, and therefore very easy to get to if you are coming from Heathrow or on the Eurostar.

Disliked: More instructions how to operate the kitchen cook top etc.

If you’re looking to stay here to save money, RUN the other way. I do NOT recommend!

Liked: If I could give zero stars I would. If you’re trying to save money by staying in this place, you’ll loose even more when you have to find a new place like I did. It was a horrible experience, and when I asked for a refund cuz I checked out right away, the desk person laughed at my face. This place is a kid’s school pad. Extremely hot, no AC. I couldn’t sleep. As soon as I opened the door it was an oven. If you’re thinking about booking this place, RUN the other way. I do not recommend. staff not friendly at all. I wanted to save money by staying there and had to spend double cuz I had to find another place last minute for my london stay. RUN!

Disliked: I’m a world traveler and also a host in LA. I appreciate honesty when I see photos of a place. This was by far the biggest scam I have ever seen. They make it look like a nice fancy spot, but as soon as you walk in, you realize it’s like a hostel. So many kids running around, loud all hours of the night, you have a little gate that only 1 person at a time can go in with the key. The whole vibe they give on bookings, is not what it is in real life. They’re smart to not offer refunds cuz I am sure they constantly have people walk out of there and they keep the money…
