  A welcoming, quiet stay

  Liked: Perfect location from Euston and Kings Cross St Pancras station and Underground. Quiet little square for sleeping but near cafés, restaurants for breakfast and tea. Gentlemen on reception are welcoming and approachable. Thank you for having us. Nice smell on arrival and we were able to store our luggage on arrival and departure day, which was so useful. Room was exactly as advertised. Clean sheets and clean towels. Considering the hotel was fully booked we didn't hear anything, so quiet. Happy to stay here again.

  Disliked: No shower gel as dispenser broke - but I let the receptionist know. Only one pillow each with no spares, we could have done with two pillows each.

  Cheap but at the cost of sleep

  Liked: Affordable for the location, staff were nice. Went for this over a hostel because I greatly appreciate a sink in the room, super handy

  Disliked: Everything was LOUD. The doors the floors people in other rooms even the people arguing in the street at 2am felt like they were in the room with me. If you’re a light sleeper do not expect a restful time, even with ear plugs Someone, I’m assuming/hoping housekeeping, opened my door at 8am one of the mornings. Was a bit unnerving as a solo woman with no way to lock the room from the inside

  Wi-fi was a joke. Especially for tourists, since the UK is outside the EU free roaming

  Liked: It was clean

  Disliked: The hotel’s listing is misleading and does not accurately reflect the description or the photos provided. My rating is not based on the accommodation itself, which was decent, but rather on the misleading advertising and poor customer service. My booking explicitly included an "inner courtyard view", with photos showing a bright room overlooking greenery. Instead, I received a basement room facing a narrow, enclosed stairwell and a deteriorating wall. When I contacted the hotel to request a partial refund, my message was completely ignored. Please find attached photographic evidence comparing the accommodation shown in my booking confirmation with what I actually found upon arrival.

  Just what we needed for the price. Loved the location!!!

  Disliked: No elevator, so a little difficult to maneuver with heavy luggage

  Liked: It was close to the tube and station. It was clean as well.

  Disliked: On booking.com family room is advertised as having toiletries and hairdryer, there was no hairdryer and no toiletries, when asked was told by staff the only toiletries they supply was hand wash.

  Cheap and Cheerful, perfect for one night!

  Liked: The location is fantastic if you are like me and need to be close to St Pancras for an early morning Eurostar. It took me less than 5 minutes to walk from the hotel to the Eurostar queue. It is the same distance to Kings Cross, and Euston is just a further 10 minutes away. The room I stayed in was spotless, every surface was clean, as was all the furniture. The bed frames had some blemishes but I think that can be safely put down to age and wear and tear. The staff were also incredibly friendly and courteous. All that, for the price you'll probably pay, is exceptional!

  Disliked: My only complaints are that the bed was not very comfortable, I ached a bit in the morning as the mattress didn't have that much depth to it. Comfortable for sitting! Less so for laying. Furthermore, there is no lift as it is an old building so be prepared to lug suitcases up stairs! It is entirely possible that, if you don't need anything from your suitcase for a single night, you may be able to stow it on the ground floor, but you should check with reception. There is also not a lot of sound insulation between the room and the hallway, so I would encourage the hotel manager to maybe put up signs reminding guests to keep the noise down.
