  Security issue not addressed by the property

  Disliked: Unfortunately, my experience here was extremely disappointing, and I would have serious reservations about recommending this property. When I arrived and followed the self check-in instructions, I discovered another guest already inside the apartment that had been assigned to me. This was concerning considering each apartment has its own dedicated lock box and key. The property eventually moved me into the room the other guest had been occupying for the first two nights. I was then required to move all my belongings halfway through my four-night stay, carrying everything down two sets of stairs into my originally assigned apartment. What concerns me most, however, is the security issue. When I raised the incident with the property, they stated in writing that they did not know how another guest had gained access to the apartment assigned to me. I specifically asked for an explanation and what measures would be taken to prevent this from happening again, but these questions were never answered. Knowing that another guest had been able to access my assigned accommodation, with no explanation as to how it happened or reassurance that it wouldn't happen again, caused considerable distress throughout my stay. The property subsequently described the initial room I was moved into as an "upgrade". I strongly disagree. It had a smaller bed, a dated bathroom and dated floorboards, and I certainly wouldn't consider it an improvement in accommodation. After raising a formal complaint, the property offered just £46.73 as a "gesture of goodwill for having to move rooms" and refused to reconsider this amount, despite my concerns about the security incident and the overall disruption. Mistakes can happen, but what matters is how a property takes responsibility for them.

  Liked: The location is great and the studio was very clean. The kitchenette was clean and well equipped. Bathroom was nice and new. There was a refrigerator, which is always a plus. The access to the apartment was quite easy.

  Disliked: The entire property was somewhat small. Bed was also a bit small or two people and very soft, which was not our preference. The photos were a bit misleading as to what the property was in reality. There was quite lot of noise coming from the street and nearby rooms.
