  Central location but area under construction

  Liked: We wanted a central London location and this was good.

  Disliked: Central London has turned into a tourist mess. Too busy, nothing really British except the gift shops. Hotel was decent although small which was expected. Also the building was under construction and limited/alternate access.

  Okay but nothing special

  Liked: Room was modernised.

  Disliked: Bathroom hadn’t been modernised and was patched together. Shower was weak and was badly affected by the use of the tap in the sink when it went scalding hot. Was unaware that the hotel was undergoing refurb and the temporary access was ropey at best. Breakfast was in the reception.

  Price is nowhere near the service provided

  Liked: Location and a good breakfast - although very small restaurant.

  Disliked: Under massive refurbishment. No mention of this at booking. Really poor reception and non-existing lounge area. Difficult to access the hotel. Breakfast ok and staff very friendly. The hotel should have given a substantial discount due to the inconcenience for guests. Price is nowhere near the service provided.

  Disliked: Didn’t inform us about building works being done, no signs up directing us of where to go as the main doors are boarded up, staff very unhelpful, lift not working, asked the guy on the desk about parking he didn’t have a clue, absolutely useless, room was like a shoe box, would never go back
