Friendly small hotel close to Paddington and Hyde park

Liked: Great location, near Paddington station, with lots of bars, shops and restaurants around. Hyde park is just 5 min. walk. Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable bed and good English breakfast. Welcome drink and free cofee/tea was great.

Disliked: The bathroom and shower cabin was a bit small and cold, due to the weather. The flush did not always stop. External noise from the staircase at breakfast time.

It was alright, specially tor it’s location. It would’ve been better if the pricing were a little lower as my expectatio

    Liked: Location was really good.

Disliked: The rooms are mostly really small with tiny bathrooms unless they give you the newly renovated ones. Rm 109 was a bigger and newer room but the location was really odd, it’s the only room in the basement together with the kitchen and breakfast area. Wifi is connected to a different router and the tv is not connected to the wifi and you can even hear the footsteps from the ground floor or the stairs.

    Better hostels available, go elsewhere

Liked: Selected hotel based on location and price. Manager was very kind.

Disliked: Shabby interior, a pile of dirty towels in the hallway the entire time, sewage smell in bathroom, shower curtain that fell down mid shower, very thin walls, and stains on sheets…

Liked: The room I was in-- small. Thank goodness for window. The bathroom was size of a lower cabin cruise ship. Actually, the make up of the room was recycled (or appeared to me) remodel from a cruise ship cabin. There was NO USB plugs. Fortunately I had my own. The lighting especially for reading in the evening was worthless. I used a flashlight. There is NO desk area only a small table close to floor. The positive was a delightfully tasting breakfast, elevators, personable staff, great location from Paddington station. It was also safe area for a solo traveler. I would consider staying in the possibly newer section.

Disliked: small room with with dark blue window curtains--Yikes and no USB ports along with small bathroom
