Great Stay at the Eaton
Liked: Great location within easy walking access to main attractions such as Buckingham Palace, Westminster district etc. Good places to eat & convenience stores nearby We stayed on the top floor in the room facing the back. Room was warm, bed was comfortable & the shower had great water pressure & as hot as you can handle. It's a snug room with minimal space but we knew this & were fine with it as it was merely a place to lay our head each night & shower in the morning before heading out each day. Also should mention we lost our room key card & the staff were only too happy to help replacing our room key. We were very happy.
Disliked: We chose the top floor which meant lugging our luggage up a few flights of stairs (no elevator) however we knew this going in & made the choice to take the top floor anticipating less noise. Also, check-in is a couple of streets away however, we also knew this going in so wasn't a problem for us & you don't need to return to the location to check out.

Liked: Location and friendly staff
Disliked: Very disappointing stay for over €200 per night. The building is extremely old and poorly maintained, with very narrow and steep stairs - unsafe and impossible with luggage. The first room was tiny, much smaller than in the photos, with almost no space to move. You can hear every footstep from the other rooms and upstairs, so it's impossible to sleep. I asked to change rooms and the second one was even worse - neither the heating nor the air conditioning worked. The hotel's only solution was to give me an extra duvet. Completely unacceptable for the price. Cramped, noisy, outdated and overpriced. I would not recommend it and I will not be back.
Perfect location and lot of restaurants

Great room in an even greater location
Liked: The Hotel is ideally located in an area teaming with restaurants over every conceivable type of food and price range. Only a few minutes walk from Victoria Tube and Rail stations.
Disliked: You needed to be very tall to reach the towels on the overhead rack. My wife is only 5ft 2ins and couldn’t manage it. There was no provision for a hand towel. A rail is required under the front of the sink. Handrails are required to assist entry and exit of the shower. My wife and I are in our late 70s and prefer to have rails to assist us were there is such a high step and/or where the floor might be slippery.
