Nice hotel in a good location with friendly staff

Liked: Location was good, only 10 minute walk from the underground station. The breakfast was reasonably priced and good selection.

Disliked: The room was a little bit cramped for 3 people, we had to be very organised moving around with such small amount of space. You need to be fit for the climb up the stairs.

    Excellent hotel

Liked: The Portico Hotel is in an excellent position, near to Victoria Station and tube. Also easy to get to places of interest and shopping. The staff are very pleasant and extremely helpful in every way. The room was comfortable and very clean. I would recommend this hotel.

Liked: The location is great and staff was super nice.

Disliked: The curtain had blocks of dust on it and the window was right above the bed. Also, the room smelled like cigarettes the whole time

Excellent place and we will stay again

Liked: Very clean room. Helpful staff. Great to be able to check in at 1:30 and leave the bags after check out. Comfortable beds with plenty of pillows.

Disliked: Rooms were tiny - saying that we were able to open 3 suitcases along the floor in the triple room and they supplied plenty of hangers to put things in the wardrobe.

Booking.Com advertises room at £84 with rewards the hotel charged £144

    Liked: Location Cleanliness Quiet location

Disliked: OVERCHARGED BY £60 Found this property while searching for a hotel for my visa appointment early the following morning. Seen this on Booking.Com along with several other properties for £84 with my genius rewards for a 1 night stay room only & single traveller. I was told there was an extra £60 payment for safety deposit which I would be refunded a week after checkout as stated in terms and conditions. This was not the case when I tried to recover this £60 with the hotel I was advised the cost of my room was actually £144!! even though it stated £84 on Booking.Com and no refund of the £60 safety deposit. I would never have booked this for an overnight stay of a few hours for £144 if the price had been advertised at that hence why I booked it for £84. Would not recommend and very disappointed I am a student and cannot afford to lose £60 which should have been refunded as stated in Terms & Conditions.
