  Another lovely stay at The Welbeck

  Liked: 2nd time staying here, such a lovely hotel, room was lovely as were all the staff, breakfast also very good.

  Disliked: The price was more than double for what I paid back in April (school holidays) but that's london hotels for you.

  Staff made our stay in London

  Liked: The working-class staff that do the hard work.

  This was a miss for me - not sure I would stay here again

  Liked: Location. All the rooms are remodeled and modern. Reception area is nice. Some of the staff were friendly. Snacks left in the room were complimentary and a nice touch. The room had everything you need: iron, safe, refrigerator, coffee maker, slippers.

  Disliked: I had high hopes for my 5-night stay. I was in room 286. The first night, my room was not serviced despite my noticing it in the afternoon and mentioning it to the cleaning staff member who was on my floor. The tube can be heard/felt from this room, but only when I laid on my bed with my ears against the pillow. It did not bother me, but for others it might. The knob in the shower fell off as I was showering and I couldn’t get it back on to turn off the water which was going at full blast. It was midnight and management came up to rectify the situation. I was leaving the next morning, and he offered me free breakfast for the inconvenience (which I did not take). The next morning I checked out and on my bill was a charge for breakfast, even though I had never eaten at the hotel. The female clerk corrected the bill then reversed my 250 gbp deposit. No “thank you” or even “goodbye.”
