Old town
Below the royal château, between the Loire bank and the street up to the Clos Lucé, there are small hotels, guesthouses and apartments in old buildings. Both monuments, the restaurants and the shops are within walking distance, and the centre is quiet at night.
Île d’Or and the north bank
Across the bridge, the Île d’Or and the north bank have simpler places to stay, a campsite and some houses with views of the floodlit château. The centre is a few minutes’ walk away and the railway station is on this side of the river.
Vineyards and nearby villages
To the east and south, among vineyards and woods on the way to Chenonceaux, there are rural houses, chambres d’hôtes and small châteaux turned into accommodation. They are quiet and have gardens, but you need a car or bike to get around.
Tours
