Centre and castle
Between the castle, the cathedral and Place du Ralliement are most of the hotels and holiday apartments. The monuments, shopping streets and restaurants are within walking distance, and the tram crosses the district.
Saint-Laud station
Around the station there are chain hotels and some independent ones, convenient if you arrive by train. The castle is about ten minutes’ walk away and the tram stops nearby.
La Doutre
Across the Maine, this old quarter of half-timbered houses has apartments and guesthouses. It is quieter, with views of the castle and the Jean-Lurçat museum close at hand.
Lac de Maine and the Loire banks
To the south-west, by the Lac de Maine, there are hotels with parking and green spaces, good for families. Further on, Bouchemaine and the Loire villages offer rural houses near the vineyards, best with a car.
