  Septic smell too overwhelming to recommend

  Liked: The home is nice, parked rental car on street out front, access code provided prior to arrival, easy to access, washer on site, nice courtyard.

  Disliked: Unfortunately one of the bathrooms smelled horrible of sewage/septic which made adjacent bedroom smell too. Wound up covering all drains, closing bathroom door, placing blanket on crack at bottom, and sleeping with all windows open. Never used it for duration of stay.

  Everything was perfect except the cold

  Liked: It is spacious and comfortable Very good hosts, very kind and helpful

  Disliked: The house was cold when we arrived. Need some more heating method

  Nice, clean house with a pool, close to a train station

  Liked: The house is located in a bit of a residential area but the train station is 5 mins walk and around there are shops, cafes etc. The house was nice and clean and well equipped, the WiFi was good. It has a small pool but it's all you need for a cool off after a hot day around Lisbon.

  Disliked: The outside area could do with a bit of TLC and only 2 bath towels were provided for 5 guests. This isn't the hosts fault but dogs were barking most of the night close by which woke our children up quite a bit.

  Exceptional

  Liked: we loved the villa, the garden and the host family. the location is fantastic it's in a local neighbourhood and if you make some effort to speak basic Portuguese then locals are really friendly. we especially like Sandra's Pizza which is just round the corner. only 10mins on train to Sintra and 20mins in a taxi to the beach in Cascais

  Disliked: The heating was insufficient. Cold! And the beds were quite small for two adults.
