It’s the coastline of Valencia province: the city beaches of Malvarrosa, the Albufera nature park and a string of long, fine sandy beaches to the south, with Cullera, Gandía and Oliva.
Which area to choose
In the city, the hotels by Malvarrosa and Patacona have the beach and the centre close by. El Saler and the Albufera are quieter. Cullera and Gandía have lots of beach hotels and apartments, and Oliva and Sagunto are smaller.
When to go
Beach season is June to September. The Fallas, in March, fill the city’s hotels, and in August Gandía and Cullera are at their peak.
Getting around
The metro reaches the city beaches and the airport, and local trains link Valencia with Sagunto, Cullera and Gandía.
