What is Parque Warner?

Parque Warner Madrid is a theme park that opened in 2002 in San Martín de la Vega, about 30 kilometres south-east of Madrid. It has areas themed on Warner Bros and DC characters, rollercoasters for grown-ups and a section for young children. Next to it is Warner Beach, the water park, which only opens in summer.

How to get there

The car is the easiest option: it takes about half an hour from central Madrid on the motorway and the park has its own car park. There is no metro or commuter train to the gate. That is why, with children, it pays to stay in the nearby towns south of Madrid and set off early to be there when it opens.

When rooms are hardest to find

The park doesn’t open every day or all year: it closes for much of the winter and runs special Halloween and Christmas seasons. Spring weekends, the summer and long weekends are the busiest times with families. Check its calendar before you book.
