    Charming stay in central Bath

Liked: Excellent value for money - a quirky, well located and well run B&B. Beautiful room - very characterful. Breakfast fabulous - food and service - we also popped back to get lunch one day and that was equally delicious. Sister pub next door - Pig and Fiddle - also great for quiet evening. Would highly recommend.

Disliked: Our room was at the front so could be a little noisy during the night but ear plugs were provided.

    Terribly loud and needs refurbish

Liked: The location is great and the staff friendly and well presented rooms. The breakfast is decent.

Disliked: Just to give you some feedback as no one asked us how our stay was when we handed the keys back. The man who greeted us was very lovely and kind so that was a plus and the room we booked was a good size and well presented. Unfortunately we had some problems which meant we didn’t have the best stay. There was no fridge in the room so the champagne we bought couldn’t be chilled. We went to the pub next door to get a chiller but it wasn’t the same so that was disappointing. There was also no milk in the room which meant no morning cup of tea unless we went downstairs to get some but then defeated the point really as we wanted one whilst getting ready. At least some UHT milk could have been made available given there was no fridge. The pillows were awful. They were incredibly lumpy as if they had been washed and tumble dried and very uncomfortable to sleep on which for £300 a night is really unacceptable and such an easy fix. The bathroom was also in need of a refresh and the shower wasn’t great, it kept slipping when being used. The door didn’t shut properly on the bathroom door which wasn’t ideal. The TVs are very old and small and we couldn’t get bbc iplayer to work. We noticed the ear plugs by the bedside table which alarmed us and for good reason. The old sash windows in our room were in very poor repair and the strong wind banged the windows really loudly all night and woke us up multiple times. We actually thought the windows were open at first as we could hear absolutely everything happening outside whether people or traffic going past but they were closed, just clearly very poorly insulated and in bad need of repair. We were woken up multiple times by people outside throughout the night clearly on their way home or leaving the pub at closing time and then by the bin lorry at 5am the next day.

A great place to stay in Bath

    Liked: Well appointed room.

Disliked: Right above the restaurant/bar, which plays loud music when open (early morning and late night) that you can hear. Our room faced the street, so we often heard noise from people and cars on the street below. Also can’t close the bathroom door entirely.
