  A beautifully presented Hotel, with lovely attentive staff, and amazing food

  Liked: Breakfast was so good, it looked small but was super tasty and once you add on toast and Jams it was the perfect size and really tasty! The bread was super fresh and the jams the same.

  Would definitely come back!

  Liked: This is an old but grand hotel with winding but short passages. Easy to get lost in. The lift worked! Upon entering the hotel, staff was very welcoming- explaining where the restaurant, the bar, the lower bar, and the garden was. The garden is beautiful! Our room was spacious and contained a full size couch. On the morning of our departure, staff called us a taxi and settled the bill in a timely fashion. Towels were amazingly fluffy. Bed were incredibly soft and the duvets were divine. Shower was also lovely with excellent water pressure! Love the shampoo! Be sure to try the lobster rolls & cabbage w/bacon!

  Disliked: I wish the young man who showed us our room would have turned the towel warmer on (or at least pointed it out) and it would have been useful to know how to use the heater.

  Lovely boutique hotel in fab Georgian building

  Liked: Lovely boutique style hotel excellently located for walking into the city centre, fab intimate bar area, great staff.

  Disliked: Tea & coffee facilities rather strange with one station on each floor and machines that were not so straightforward to use! Parking tricky and expensive for valet parking but guess that’s any city…
