    Pleasant atmosphere and lovely staff

Liked: The location on a lovely road, the building itself is grand whilst simaltaneously being relaxing and peaceful. The staff were really nice.

Disliked: Cheap bread for breakfast, for the price and the setting I would expect something better. I know it sounds like an overreaction and there's a business to run but that sort of margin-maximising profiteering is a real turn-off and potentially a factor in not staying with you next time I'm in Bath.

Classic period townhouse in a quiet street a short walk from the centre of Bath

Liked: We really enjoyed staying in a classic Bath period town-house. Our room was on the top floor, which gave us great vies out over the surrounding area. The location is great being a short walk from the town centre but on a quiet street of Georgian town houses. Having breakfast looking out over that street felt a little like being on the set of Bridgerton.

Disliked: On Booking.com I had searched for hotels with parking. Only after I had booked and spoken with the hotel did I find there is no on-site parking, and that we needed to use a shopping centre carpark a few minutes walk away. I think the issue is with Booking.com rather than the hotel, as their post-booking guidance was clear. In the nature of the top-floor of a period townhouse, there are lots of stairs (and no lift). The top-floor stairs would have led to the servants quarters and are particularly narrow and in a spiral. We were fine with them but I could see that they would be an issue for anyone with restricted mobility. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. I'd just suggest factoring-in the cost of parking (we paid £18 for the day) with the cost of the hotel and making sure you are ready to carry or wheel bags from the car-park. Also, if steep narrow stairs would be a problem, ask for a room on a lower floor.

We loved our stay, the rooms were spacious, but especially the staff were lovely and the breakfast was great

Liked: Great location. Easy check in. Lovely staff and great breakfast

Disliked: It’s a shame they don’t have parking, or a discounted parking option.
