Santa Luzia hill
At the top, next to the church, there is a hotel with views over the estuary and the coast. You go down to the town by funicular or by car in a few minutes. Silence and scenery.
Cabedelo and the coast
South of the river, Cabedelo has a long beach with dunes and pine woods, popular with surfers and kitesurfers. To the north, beaches such as Afife or Carreço are wilder. Beach accommodation and rural houses, best with a car.
