What is La Concha beach?

La Concha is San Sebastián’s city beach, a shell-shaped bay closed off by Santa Clara island, with the promenade’s white railing, the Miramar Palace and the City Hall on one side. It is one of the most famous city beaches in Europe.

How to get there

Several Dbus lines run along the promenade, and the Old Town, the Boulevard and the centre are within walking distance. The Renfe train station is about 15 minutes on foot.

During the Semana Grande in August, the Jazzaldia in July and the Film Festival in September, when San Sebastián fills up and prices soar; in summer you need to book well in advance.
