What to see in Rhodes

Must-sees

The medieval town of Rhodes, built by the Knights of St John, keeps almost all of its 4 km of walls. Inside are the Street of the Knights, the Palace of the Grand Master, the hospital that is now the archaeological museum and a quarter of Ottoman mosques and fountains.

Outside the capital, the acropolis of Lindos looks out to sea above a white village, and the island also has the Valley of the Butterflies, the ruins of Kamiros and beaches on both coasts. Tradition places the Colossus at Mandraki harbour.
