Old town and castle
Moratalla's steep streets climb to the castle and the church of La Asunción, in one of the best-preserved ensembles in inland Murcia. The town's few beds, in a couple of modest hotels and holiday flats, are in the old town or at its entrance. In July, with the Cristo del Rayo bull runs, and at Easter, with the drumming, the town fills up.
