Where to stay in Cieza: the best areas
Centre and riverside walk
Central Cieza, in the shadow of its basilica, has most of the available accommodation and restaurants. From the walk along the Segura you can see the farmland, and the Siyâsa Museum is a stroll away. It's the best base if you come without a car by train from Murcia.
Best-rated in this area: Hotel San Sebastián Hospedería, with a score of 8.7 from 113 reviews.
The farmland and the blossom
Among the orchards of the Vega Alta there are rural houses that in March are surrounded by peach trees in bloom, the most sought-after time of year. Those weeks fill up, so book early. You'll need a car.
Towards Los Almadenes
The Almadenes canyon and the Cueva de la Serreta lie to the west, with rafting trips and trails. There's no accommodation in the canyon itself: you go from Cieza or from Calasparra, at the other end. Murcia, less than an hour away, has far more choice.
