What is Ruzafa?

Ruzafa (Russafa in Valencian) is the grid-plan district south of the Estació del Nord. In recent years it has filled with cafés, restaurants, galleries and small shops around the Ruzafa Market, and it is one of Valencia’s liveliest areas at night.

Getting around from here

Russafa station (line 10) is in the district itself, and Xàtiva (lines 3, 5 and 9) and the Estació del Nord are about ten minutes’ walk away. Joaquín Sorolla high-speed station is a stroll away, and the City of Arts and Sciences about 20 minutes on foot.

When rooms are hardest to find

During Fallas, from 15 to 19 March: Ruzafa has some of the most famous fallas and illuminated streets and is packed day and night. Summer weekends and long weekends also push prices up.

Which area to choose
