It is the stadium of the clay-court tennis tournament, at the western edge of Paris, next to the Bois de Boulogne.
Getting there
Metro line 10 stops at Porte d’Auteuil, a short walk from the gates. Line 9 stops at Michel-Ange-Molitor and Porte de Saint-Cloud.
When rooms are hardest to find
During the tournament, from late May to early June, when the area and all of Paris fill up.
Which area to choose
Auteuil and Passy, in the 16th arrondissement, are quiet residential districts with a few hotels. Boulogne-Billancourt, on the other side, has more choice at slightly lower prices.
