What are the Champs-Élysées?

The most famous avenue in Paris runs from Place de la Concorde to the Arc de Triomphe, almost two kilometres of shops, cinemas and cafés. The Tour de France and the 14 July parade finish here.

Getting there

Metro line 1 runs under the whole avenue, and at Étoile the RER A also stops, heading to La Défense and Disneyland Paris. From the Gare du Nord you need to change once.

When rooms are hardest to find

At Christmas, when the lights are switched on, during Fashion Week and at major events on the avenue. The area is expensive all year round.

Which area to choose
