Staying near PortAventura: what you need to know

What is PortAventura?

PortAventura World is the theme park resort in Salou and Vila-seca, on the Costa Daurada: PortAventura Park, Caribe Aquatic Park and Ferrari Land, with its own themed hotels and a convention centre. It opens from spring to early January, with Halloween and Christmas seasons.

How to get there

PortAventura station, with regional trains from Barcelona and Tarragona, is next to the entrance, and from the centre of Salou there are buses or it is about a 20-minute walk. Reus airport is about 15 minutes away by car.

When rooms are hardest to find

In July and August, at Easter, on the Halloween weekends in October and on the December long weekends, when the park is at its busiest and Salou’s hotels raise their prices.
