What is the Christmas market?
The Christkindlmarkt on the Rathausplatz is Vienna’s largest Christmas market, in front of the City Hall, with mulled wine and decoration stalls, an ice rink and the illuminated park. It runs from mid-November to Christmas Eve.
Getting around from here
The Burgtheater, Maria-Theresien-Platz and Spittelberg markets are a few minutes’ walk away, and the cathedral ten. The U2 links the square with the rest of the city.
