Európolis, Las Rozas Village and the A-6

Beside the motorway are the Európolis business park and the Las Rozas Village outlet. This is where places to stay geared to work trips are grouped, with parking and direct access to Madrid or the Sierra de Guadarrama. It also works if shopping is your main plan or you have business at the Ciudad del Fútbol. Outside office and shop hours the area goes very quiet, so dinner is best in the old town.

Las Matas

In the north of the municipality, Las Matas is a district with its own identity and a Cercanías station. It has low houses, green spaces and a small centre with shops. It is a quiet option for families and a good gateway to El Escorial and the sierra villages, by train or car. Its centre has local bars and bakeries, and the pace is slower than in the rest of the municipality.

El Pinar and the Guadarrama

To the west, El Pinar de Las Rozas has its own Cercanías halt and housing estates surrounded by pines. Beyond runs the river Guadarrama, within the regional park, with hiking and cycling paths. This part appeals to those who prefer to sleep away from traffic and do some sport as soon as they get up, with the train close by to get into Madrid.
