Centre and Plaza del Pradillo

The heart of Móstoles is around Plaza del Pradillo. Very close are the house museum dedicated to mayor Andrés Torrejón and the parish church of La Asunción. It is the area with the most bars, restaurants and shops, and from here you can walk to the CA2M contemporary art museum. You have Pradillo and Móstoles Central stations, both on metro line 12, and at Móstoles Central you can change to the C-5 commuter line for central Madrid.

El Soto

Around El Soto park, with its lake and large green spaces, extends a more residential part of the city. Here is Móstoles-El Soto station, the end of the C-5 line, with direct trains to Atocha. It is a quiet area, convenient for families and morning runners. The park has wide paths and shade, welcome in the hot southern Madrid summers.

University and Hospital de Móstoles

Around the Rey Juan Carlos University campus and the Móstoles University Hospital there are line 12 stations bearing their names. Staying nearby makes sense if you are coming for a conference, an exam or medical reasons. They are districts of apartment blocks, with cafés and local shops and little going on at night.

Towards the A-5

The areas near the Extremadura motorway, with industrial estates and shopping centres, have functional places to stay with parking. They are designed for business travellers in south-west Madrid or anyone setting off early for Toledo, Talavera or Extremadura. To see Móstoles’s heritage you will need to drive or bus into the centre. In return, you avoid rush-hour traffic in and out of the city.
