Where to stay in Coslada: the best areas

Centre and Coslada Central

The heart of the town revolves around Coslada Central station, where metro line 7 connects with the Coslada local train station. The train takes you straight to Atocha, and the metro to the Metropolitano stadium area, where you change to continue into the centre. Around it are shopping avenues, set-menu bars and parks, so it is the area for those travelling without a car who want to sightsee in Madrid.

Barrio del Puerto and La Rambla

These residential districts have their own line 7 stations, Barrio del Puerto and La Rambla, and a commuter-town feel with wide streets, squares and local shops. They are quiet at night, with supermarkets and restaurants at hand. They suit long stays, workers on assignment and families visiting relatives. Barrio del Puerto is also the stop closest to Madrid.

Industrial estates and the Puerto Seco

Beside the town spread the industrial estates and Madrid’s Puerto Seco, a large rail freight terminal, near the A-2. The people staying here are mainly logistics professionals, lorry drivers and those with meetings in the business area or early flights from Barajas. To reach the warehouses and offices, a car or taxi is more useful than public transport.

San Fernando de Henares

The neighbouring town continues Coslada’s urban grid and has the San Fernando, Jarama and Henares metro stations, as well as its own local train stop. Its Plaza de España, with buildings from the old Royal Cloth Factory, gives it a centre with more character. It is another quiet, well-connected option, close to the Sureste regional park and the banks of the Jarama, good for walking or cycling.
