It is the district of narrow canals and small houses west of the canal ring, next to the Anne Frank House and the Westerkerk. It has markets such as the Noordermarkt, galleries, brown cafés and hidden courtyards.

Getting around from here

The centre, Dam Square and the Nine Streets are walkable. Trams run to Central Station and the Museum Quarter.
