What is Jemaa el-Fna?

Jemaa el-Fna is the great square of Marrakech, at the heart of the medina. By day there are orange-juice stalls, snake charmers and herbalists; at dusk it fills with food stalls, musicians and storytellers.

Getting around from here

The souks start at the north corner of the square, the Koutoubia is five minutes away and the Bahia Palace and the Mellah about fifteen on foot. Gueliz is ten minutes by taxi.
