The harbour and the two inlets
Cala Figuera opens into two arms of sea, the Caló d’en Boira and the Caló d’en Busques. The latter has the boathouses with their slipways, the image nearly every visitor comes for. Staying in the streets leading down to the water means waking up with the fishermen and having the harbour restaurants a stroll away.
There is no sandy beach in the village: to swim you will need to go to Cala Santanyí or Mondragó Natural Park, a few kilometres away.
Upper area and Torre d’en Beu
The streets climbing towards the headland have apartments and small hotels with views of the open sea, quieter than the harbour in the evening. From here you can walk to the watchtower and its lighthouse.
Santanyí and Cala d’Or
If you prefer a town with more life, Santanyí, a few minutes away, adds charming hotels in old buildings and a weekly market. Cala d’Or, to the north, has much more beach accommodation for long stays.
