Las Cucharas and Pueblo Marinero

This is the centre of Costa Teguise. Las Cucharas beach gets the wind that windsurfers look for, and along its front are schools, bars and restaurants one after another. A short distance away is Pueblo Marinero, with its square of white houses and terraces, which comes alive in the evening.

If you want to learn to windsurf or go out for dinner without a car, everything is close by. Buses to Arrecife leave from this part. Bear in mind that the wind blows harder here than in the nearby coves, which sports fans appreciate and sunbathers less so.

Best-rated in this area: BarcelΓ³ Teguise Beach - Adults Only, with a score of 8.6 from 2,896 reviews.

El Jablillo

It is a small beach with breakwaters that hold back the waves, so the water is almost always calm. That is why families with children choose it so often. Around it are residential streets and apartment complexes, and the promenade takes you to Las Cucharas in a short while. In the morning you often see people swimming between the breakwaters with snorkels.

BastiΓ‘n and Los Charcos

On this stretch the coast alternates sandy coves with rocky areas and natural pools. There are fewer shops and more holiday homes, and it is quiet by day and night. It suits you if you want rest, seaside walks and a place where you hear the ocean more than music.

Best-rated in this area: Oasis Lanz Beach Mate, with a score of 8.7 from 1,811 reviews.

Upper area and the golf course

Inland, towards the Lanzarote Golf course, there are villas and developments with gardens and pools. Without a car it is hard to get around, but with one you are close to the road to Teguise and its market, the Cactus Garden in Guatiza and the north of the island. Arrecife, with its shops and the Charco de San GinΓ©s, is very close.
