What is the Castellana?

Paseo de la Castellana is Madrid’s great south-to-north avenue: about six kilometres from Plaza de Colón to beyond Plaza de Castilla. Along it are the Open-Air Sculpture Museum, Nuevos Ministerios and AZCA, the Bernabéu, the KIO Towers and, at the end, the Four Towers.

Getting around from here

Under the avenue run the Cercanías trains, between Atocha and Chamartín, and metro line 10, with stops at Nuevos Ministerios, Santiago Bernabéu, Cuzco and Plaza de Castilla. On the southern stretch, Colón (line 4), Rubén Darío (line 5) and Gregorio Marañón (lines 7 and 10).
