The small spa village is the natural base if you are coming to rest. Everything is on foot: the Palacio del Agua with its thermal circuits, the park, the Gándara spring under its pavilion and the paths along the river Tea. Mondariz and the Tea valley

Very close is the town of Mondariz, the municipal centre, surrounded by hamlets and parishes with stone houses, vineyards and oak woods. Here you will find rural cottages with gardens and room for families or groups. It is the option for anyone wanting real countryside who doesn’t mind driving to the nearby spa or heading out on trips. The roads are narrow and winding, so drive carefully, especially at night.

Ponteareas

A few kilometres south, following the Tea, Ponteareas is the large town of the Condado area. It has more places to stay and restaurants, shops, supermarkets and a riverside walk. It suits business trips, lots of moving around or times when the spa is full. From here there is also easy road access to Vigo, Tui and the Portuguese border, with the Miño valley close at hand. If you want to combine the spa with Rías Baixas beaches, this is the base with the most going on and the most dinner options.
