Centre and harbour

Central Bueu stretches along the fishing harbour, with Banda do Río beach, the Museo Massó and the seafood bars a few steps away. It is the best area if you are catching the boat to Ons island, which leaves from the quay, or arriving without a car.

Best-rated in this area: Apartamentos Costas de Bueu, with a score of 9.7 from 71 reviews.

Beluso, Cela and the beaches

To the west, Beluso and Cela have plenty of holiday flats and houses overlooking the estuary, next to beaches such as Lapamán, Portomaior and Agrelo. They are quieter and more family-oriented, though you need a car for almost everything.

Best-rated in this area: Rincón de Beluso, Bueu, with a score of 9.7 from 15 reviews.

Cabo Udra and alternatives

The Cabo Udra coast is for walking and birdwatching, not for sleeping: there are only a few scattered houses. In August Bueu runs out of beds, and Cangas, Sanxenxo or Pontevedra have far more capacity less than half an hour away.
